How to Not be Awkward at a Party
When I moved by myself to a new city, I wanted very badly to meet people and resume a normal social life. Normally outgoing and easy to make friends, I found myself a hermit for basically a year until a co-worker from another office across town invited me to a party. Boy, was it awkward for me to get back into the swing of things and reconnect with my old self - the one who knew how to have fun at any party!
One important thing to do when feeling awkward at a party is to assume a role or take on a job. A great way that I have found to feel like you're blending right in is to show up a little early (make sure it's ok with the host or hostess first) and help them with food, decorations, etc. This not only helps the person hosting the party, but it also ensures that you will be introduced to people one-by-one as they enter Way better than showing up late when everyone is already there and the party is in full swing!
Can't show up early? You can still assume a job no matter what time you get there. Help the host with serving drinks, help make cocktails, or take the birthday card around for everyone to sign. Keep your eyes open and you will see a role that needs to be filled! This is a great way to mingle and meet people, and you won't feel awkward doing it since you have a purpose.
Obviously you know someone at the party (at least a little), or else you wouldn't be there. Be bold and ask your acquiantance to introduce you to some of his or her friends. Even if you just meet them in passing at first, you can take note of who seemed friendly or who you had something in common with, and go back and visit them later.
Go with an open mind. Parties are for fun and mingling, so don't be a wallflower! If your connection at the party is busy, be outgoing and introduce yourself to people. Even if you feel like you have nothing to say, you can just open with, 'Hi, I'm _____. Great party! How do you know (host/hostess)?' and go from there.
Parties don't have to be intimidating! Have fun and go with a goal of meeting at least one new person that you will hang out with in the future/network with in the business world/play tennis with, etc.

How to Publish your Podcast on iTunes (8 Steps)
Locate your podcast's RSS feed address. An RSS feed is an XML file that contains information about your podcast and the addresses of each individual podcast file. Consult your hosting provider's documentation for information on locating your podcast's RSS feed.
Click the 'Advanced' menu in iTunes and select 'Subscribe to Podcast.'
Type, or copy and paste, your podcast's feed address into the Subscribe to Podcast box and click 'OK.'
Verify a page for your podcast appears in iTunes and attempt to play an episode of your podcast. Apple declines podcasts with technical problems that don't appear in iTunes. If the podcast's page doesn't appear, your podcast's feed isn't compatible with iTunes. Contact your hosting provider with information about the problem.
Click 'iTunes Store' at the left side of the iTunes window and click 'Podcasts' at the top of the page that appears.
Click 'Publish a Podcast' at the right side of the Podcasts page on the iTunes Store page.
Type, or copy and paste, your podcast's feed address into the box on the Publish a Podcast page and press Enter.

How to Draft an Invitation Letter for a Promotion Party
Open with a salutation that greets the recipient in the same way you would address him in person, such as 'Dear Mr. Jones' or 'Dear Bill.'
Explain that you would like to invite the recipient to attend a party you are hosting in celebration of a promotion. If you are throwing the party on behalf of the individual who received the promotion, mention his or her name here so the recipient understands who the guest of honor is.
Write the date and time of the promotion party, and explain whether it will be formal or informal. Include any special instructions, such as whether black tie is optional or if the guests may bring anything, such as drinks or desserts.
Thank the recipient for her time and indicate if there is an RSVP card enclosed, or how she may reach you to let you know whether she will be attending. End with a closing, such as 'Best wishes,' then sign your name.

How to Check Ping in 'Minecraft' (7 Steps)
Press 'Windows-X' to open the power user menu, and select 'Command Prompt' from the list. Pinging a server doesn't require administrator access, so you can ping Minecraft servers from any user account on your computer.
Use the ping command, followed by the server's address. An example would look like this:ping example.minecraftserver.comThe ping may take a second or two to complete, at which point the screen will display several reply results from the ping test.
Look for the average time; it should be the last piece of information displayed on the screen. The average represents the most likely ping time for your server latency, measured in milliseconds. While it may not be reflective of your exact latency at any given time while connected, it's a solid measure of what you can expect.
