Hold a raffle. Advertising prizes will get more people in the door, some of who may walk out more interested in your products than they may have expected. Remember, just because people think they won't be interested, doesn't mean that they really won't become so. Getting them in the door for your party can sometimes be your biggest obstacle.
Keep plenty of samples, so that you can make sure that everyone gets one. Many people don't think they will like a product, but change their mind after using it. Therefore, it is important that you don't run out.
Find a friend who is in a related direct sales business and host a party together. This will give you both a chance at additional customers or prospects, since those who came for your friend's products may be interested in yours and vice versa.
Offer to have a babysitter on hand for those who have small children. Sometimes a mom of a young child feels that she cannot attend a direct sales party like this because her child may disrupt the party. If you have a baby sitter on hand for these parents, they are more likely to come. An ideal candidate would be a teen, who won't charge too much and will like to make a little extra cash.

How to Build a Free Church Website (6 Steps)


Speak with the board or session of your church to decide what kind of website you would like to create. Decide on the content, images and any contact information that you would like displayed on the website. It is best to have a blueprint before starting to develop the church website.
Take digital pictures of the front and inside of the church. Have one of the members who hase access to a digital camera do this task so you do not have to pay for photographs. Upload them to your computer. Scan samples of Sunday bulletins from your church that display worship information.
Sign up with a free hosting website such as 000webhosting (see resources). There will not be any banner ads or pop-ups on your website. They also offer free domains so that you will not have to pay for one.
Find a volunteer or somebody within the church or community who would be willing to help design the church website if you do not have any web page designing skills.
Display images of your church on the website. Add information about worship times and Sunday school or Bible studies held at the church. Be sure to include contact information such as telephone numbers or an email address where visitors can forward their questions to. It also would be wise to add directions to your church for out-of-town visitors. Add a link to an online guest book for those who visit the website.
Include the link to your website on all of the church's business cards, brochures, email signatures and fliers. This will give more exposure to the website.

How to Build a Resume Website (6 Steps)


Make an outline of the different sections of your website. Planning the organizational structure of your resume website in advance will make it easier to create the navigation of your site. You will want to include an area for work experience, skills, education, and professional development. Depending on the type of job you're seeking, you may want to include a portfolio section to showcase samples of your work.
Create a template for your website. In this step, you will create the basic look and layout of your resume site. Choose a color theme appropriate for your industry. For example, if you are seeking an accounting position, you will want your resume site to look very professional. Choosing a very bright and bold color scheme may not convey the right image to potential employers.
Save your template and set editable regions. Your editable regions are the areas that will be different on each page of your resume site. The main content area should be editable, and your navigation should remain uneditable. If you need to change the navigation of your site to include an additonal area of expertise, for example, you will only need to change the template file and the change will affect every page of your website.
Create the other pages of your site based on the areas you identified in Step 1. Save each page with an applicable name, such as Work History for the page that includes a chronological history of your previous employment.
Add content to the various pages of your resume website. Use actionable words and phrases, and use keywords that will stand out to the potential employers that you're hoping to attract. You can include photos of yourself if you choose. If you have photos of yourself participating in volunteer work, it would be appropriate to include those within the area of your site that describes your volunteer involvement.
Publish your website to your hosting account using an FTP client, such as Core FTP. Core FTP is available as a free download, and is very simple to use.
