How to Host a Homecoming Party (9 Steps)

Learn when homecoming weekend is and determine when you want to host your homecoming party. Homecoming parties can be hosted before or after the big game.
Determine what type of homecoming party you want to have. You can host a homecoming tailgate party, a pre-homecoming game party, a post-game party or a themed homecoming party.
Create your invitations. Use school colors, insignias and mascots in the design of your invitations. Provide all of the information that your guests will need to know when the party is, where the party will be held and what they can expect at the party. For example, if you are hosting a fancy dress homecoming party then your invitation will want to include guest requirements such as 'face paint or body paint required' or 'school colors required for entry.' Have fun with these invitations as they will set the tone for the party.
Buy your food, drinks and decorations well in advance of your party, especially if homecoming is a college or university event. Prep appetizers and marinade meat the day before your party to reduce how much you have to do on party day.
Set up your homecoming party about an hour before you expect your first guests to arrive. There are always early birds to contend with, and you want to greet each guest with enthusiasm.
Dress up for your homecoming party. The host should reflect the theme, tone and spirit of the party.
Greet each guest with enthusiasm and welcome them to your homecoming party. Let them know where they can find food, drinks and party favors. If there will be party games inform your guests when they first arrive to prepare them for the fun ahead.
Lead school cheers, fun homecoming party games and introduce people who don't know one another as the party progresses. Replenish the food and drink supplies as they dwindle. Check with your guests periodically to see if they need anything.
Offer doggy bags and party treat bags to your guests as they leave. Keep an up-beat spirit as you thank your guests for coming. After the last guest has gone you can sit down and relax for a minute before tackling the clean-up.

How to Make a Free Membership Website

Download the .zip file containing the latest version of the Joomla content management system to your hard drive. Extract the zip file to a place on your hard drive that is easily accessible by your favorite FTP client.
Start your FTP client and connect it to the root directory of your website. Once logged in, transfer the Joomla files to the root directory of your website. Keep in mind that it will likely take a few minutes to transfer all these files. Once all the directories and files have transferred, you are ready to begin the installation of your Joomla website.
Open a browser and navigate to your website's URL followed by '/installation' (www.yourwebsite.com/installation). This should bring up the first page of the Joomla installer and ask you which language you would like to set for your installation. Select the appropriate language and click 'Next.'
Ensure that your web hosting meets the system requirements by confirming that the pre-installation checklist has been met satisfactorily. Click 'Next.'
Review and agree to the GN General Public License (GNU GPL ). Click 'Next.'
Supply your database configuration information, including host name, user name, password and database name. If you have not created these items, do so now via your host's MySQL administration panel. Keep in mind that often times web hosts add prefixes to both user names and database names. For example, if you create a database named 'joomla' on a fake web host named 'acme,' the web host will likely apply a prefix such as 'acme_joomla' to the database name. Also, keep in mind that after you create the user, you will need to assign that user full privileges to the database you just created. Once these fields are filled out appropriately, click 'Next.'
Select the appropriate FTP options that will meet your needs and click 'Next.'
Give your website a name and enter pertinent information. Based upon your level of experience, you can install the sample data or not. For beginners, sample data is useful to get the feel of the Joomla system. To install the sample data, select the radio button and click 'Install Sample Data.' Once the sample data is installed, click 'Next.'
Remove the installation directory. This is a security feature of Joomla and you will not be able to proceed until the installation directory has been removed.
Log in to the administration end of your new website by navigating to your website's URL followed by '/administrator' (www.yourwebsite.com/administrator). Once logged in, navigate to Site > Global Configuration > System and select 'Yes' under the subheading 'User Settings.'
Navigate to Extensions > Module Manager and select the 'Login Form' hotlink from the list of modules. Ensure that the module is enabled, possesses the 'Public' access level and is enabled on the pages you require.

How to Start an E

Get funding for your e-commerce business if necessary. Consider taking a private loan from an individual you know in order to avoid high interest charges, or take out a bank loan. You can seek an angel investor, which is a rich individual who will provide you with funding. Alternatively, you can apply for grants from various businesses and the government to start your business.
Find an e-commerce website host, which is a company that will host your website on its servers. Most hosting companies offer several different hosting packages at different price rates, such as 'Basic' and 'Business.' You should choose a hosting package specifically for e-commerce websites; it will be tailored to a company's needs and bandwidth requirements, and may include perks, such as e-commerce tools.
Create your website if you have Web design programming and knowledge, otherwise hire a Web programmer and designer to do the work for you. Create a detailed website plan that lays out what you need and expect, and areas where you're open to input. Pay the programmer and designer in stages, and have all the details, including deadlines and payment info, laid out in a contract, which both you and the designers and programmers must sign.
Set up business bank accounts at your local bank, which is necessary to keep your personal and business finances separate from each other. Consider registering your business as a Limited Liability Company to reduce your financial risk.
Hire employees if necessary. For example, if your e-commerce business involves shipping packages all day long, consider hiring someone to do the packaging and shipping so that you can concentrate on customer service.
Hire an accountant to take care of your finances. It is important to keep accurate books and a detailed list of expenses so that your taxes at the year's end are accurate. You may be required to pay estimated taxes every quarter. An accountant will be able to advise you on all aspects of your finances, help you find deductions and pay your taxes on time.
