How to Host Your Own Domain (5 Steps)
Download a Web server. This is usually necessary since Windows doesn't come with a default Web server. Apache is a good program, but you can also download ABYSS, which is a free program that you can download (see Resources).
Read the documentation that is included with ABYSS to familiarize yourself with the program. This is only necessary if you've never used ABYSS, or if you do not have Apache on your system.
Visit the No-IP website (see Resources). Set up an account while you are on this page. Choose the domain name you want to use.
Download the No-IP client. Click on the Windows operating system download. Download the program and then install it.
Fill in the information the program asks for. Make sure the program runs after installing it. Once all of your information is entered, your IP address will resolve to the domain you chose, which should be something like xxxxxx.hostnameofserver.com (where xxxxxx is the name you chose).

How to Use Bluehost (6 Steps)
Visit Bluehost's website. (There's a direct link in the Resources section.) Click the 'Sign up now' button to start the registration process.
Enter all of your information, including your credit card number. The first month's fee will be charged immediately, and each month thereafter, a charge in the same amount will be billed to your credit card.
Go to the cPanel (control panel) to familiarize yourself with the Bluehost back office. Here, you'll find links that will help you control your site, such as click-to-add Wordpress and Joomla. You'll also find links to help you create your email accounts and change passwords for your cPanel login as well as all of your email passwords.
On the left-hand margin of the cPanel, you will find the current amount of storage you are using. Because Bluehost is an unlimited hosting plan, this is basically just a 'for your information' section, and you don't need to concern yourself with how much storage you are using.
Go to the site for which you purchased your domain name(s). Change your name servers for all of your domain names. The name servers you'll use are NS1.BLUEHOST.COM - 74.220.195.31 and NS2.BLUEHOST.COM - 69.89.16.4.
Go back the Bluehost cPanel to add all of your existing domains to the Bluehost hosting plan. To do this, scroll down to the 'Add on' icon and click on it. Add the name of your domains, one at a time.
Use the FTP application of your choice (popular ones are Filezilla and Cute FTP) to upload your website files to your Bluehost hosting.
