How to Host a Jewelry Home Party
Collect the names of people you want to invite; they can be friends, relatives, neighbors and acquaintances or people who have been referred to you as possibly being interested in jewelry.
Send out invitations to the potential guests on your jewelry home party list. Let people know the date, time and place. Include a map if you think people will have trouble finding the location. Be sure to add an RSVP so you know how much food and drink to order. Send out the invitations at least two weeks before the event but three weeks is better. Send a reminder note or email or call about a week before the event.
Order any supplies you need for the party: your jewelry kit, catalogs, business cards and order forms. If your company provides a hostess gift and you are holding the party at someone else's house, order the gift at this time, too.
Buy food and drink a day or so before the event.
On the day of the party, set out the food and refreshments. Arrange the jewelry display and catalogs on tables in the room so people can see them as they mingle.
Encourage guests to eat some food and relax as they arrive. Give them a little time to get acclimated before you start the party.
Start the party with a game---a raffle, for example. This breaks the ice and offers people the chance to win something right away.
Present the hostess with her gift and encourage others to act as hostesses for your next party.
Go over the details of the jewelry display and pass the items around. Answer any questions. Pass out catalogs and order forms.
Collect people's money for their orders.
Follow up the party with a thank-you card to the hostess and the people who attended.
Notify people when their gifts come in, if the company ships all orders to you. Deliver them, if that's part of your business setup. Encourage people again to host a party when you deliver their merchandise.

How to Plan a Swim
Contact USA Swimming. Prior to hosting a Swim-a-Thon, your organization must complete a contract with USA Swimming that states certain conditions to follow. Once the contract is completed, you will receive a handbook about how to host a successful Swim-a-Thon, with forms and promotional materials. Swim-a-Thon is a registered trademark that is owned by USA Swimming.
Select date and location. Once you have a contract signed with USA Swimming, seek out a location to have the Swim-a-Thon. City, county and school pools may offer facilities for a small fee or free if used for fundraising events. Compare calendars with venues and pick a date to hold the event.
Hand out fliers. Use the promotional materials provided by USA Swimming to promote participation in your Swim-a-Thon. Hand out these items to members of your organization and others who would be interested in participating. Make sure to include the date, time and location of the event, instructions on how to collect pledges and your contact information.
Plan your Swim-a-Thon for an entire afternoon, offering different activities to encourage spectators to come out and watch. Collect donations from local businesses, such as gift certificates, gift baskets or merchandise that can be raffled. Offer food to spectators from a concession stand operated by volunteers or find a food vendor to set up during the event. Other activities for spectators can include music by a DJ and games for kids, such as water balloon toss, sidewalk chalk art and a sprinkler play area.
Give out awards. At the end of the Swim-a-Thon, offer awards to all participants and top performers. Hand out ribbons for participating, raising the most money and swimming the most laps.
Collect pledges. Once participants have completed the Swim-a-Thon event, have then collect money from friends and family who pledged. Give participants one week, or other amount of time you are comfortable with, to collect the money and turn it in to you.
Send out thank you notes. Write up a thank you note to send to each participant for helping raise money for your organization. If addresses are available, send thank you notes to those who donated to the Swim-a-Thon, such as vendors, friends and family.

How to Host a Tupperware Party (8 Steps)
Get in touch with a Tupperware consultant in your area (see Resources below). This person will help you with the all the details of planning and hosting your Tupperware party.
Discuss the type of Tupperware party you plan to host. Decide on a theme, choose whether to host your party indoors or out, and determine the number of potential guests. Work out these details with your Tupperware consultant.
Send out invitations for your Tupperware party well in advance of the event. Make sure you include the date, time, place and any other pertinent information, such as directions or special instructions. In addition, include your phone number or email address with a date to RSVP.
Anticipate that not every person will respond with an RSVP by the date requested. With that in mind, expect that you'll have to call some of the people on your invitation list to confirm their attendance.
Think about menu planning once you have a good idea of how many people will be attending your Tupperware party. Depending on the type of party you're planning to host, you should consider whether simple snacks or a buffet style meal will be in order.
Expect your Tupperware party consultant to arrive early on the day of your party to help you set up.
Relax on the day of your party. You'll be playing host to your guests, of course, but your Tupperware consultant will do the rest in terms of demonstrating all the products and taking orders.
Reap your rewards. The more orders from your party, the more Tupperware products you'll receive in return.

How to Plan a Bazaar (10 Steps)
Decide when you want to host your bazaar. The holidays are a good time. You'll get lots of traffic, but may be competing with the bigger ones. You can do it during the off-season, in the spring or summer. You'll be the only one, but may have to spend more to advertise for it.
Decide what type of bazaar this will be. Do you want it to be a crafts or food bazaar or showcasing anything handmade?
Decide where you want to have the bazaar. A school or a church is a great place but, if you want your bazaar to be held during the holidays, make sure you are not competing against the church or school which may well be hosting a similar event. If you are able to utilize a school or church you will be able to use their chairs and tables.
Decide how much you want to charge, if anything. Vendors should be charged. You can charge them up front, for tables (if they don't bring their own); or you can simply take a percentage of their sales after the fact. Also, decide whether or not you will charge the potential customers. If the customers bring in two canned goods, for example, you could let them in free. Either way, make sure you plan to make a little something for your time and effort.
Pick a cause to support. Maybe you have a charity already, or you want the money to go back to your church or school. People like supporting causes.
Go to your local school, city hall, or church with your proposal. Inform them of the number of people expected and the safety precautions that you plan to implement.
Secure the necessary permits from the city, police, or fire departments. Many of these will depend on where you hold the event.
Write an ad and put it in the paper, on-line, on craigslist.com, and on flyers to be distributed by hand, at grocery stores, or to be included in the newspaper as an insert. Make sure these ads inform people about the bazaar and provide contact information so potential vendors to sign up.
Open a separate bank account for the bazaar if you plan on doing it again in the future.
Communicate with your vendors to make sure they know the days and times to set up, procedures, rules (no leaving the booth or taking down early) and the food rules.
