How to Remove a Joomla Powered Site (5 Steps)

Uninstall all Joomla extensions before removing the actual back-end software. If you do not have any extensions, skip to Step 3. To uninstall extensions, login to Joomla. If you do not remember your Joomla login information, consult the confirmation email you received when installing the software. This email contains the personalized link that will allow you to sign-in to the Joomla service.
Click the drop-down menu in the left-hand side of your Joomla screen. Select 'Extensions' from the menu. Click the name of each extension that you have running. Joomla will then display the extension's settings page. Click the uninstall icon, which looks like a trash can. Joomla will alert you when the uninstall process is complete. Repeat for each extension.
Launch your FTP software (e.g., Cyberduck for Mac or Fetch for Windows PCs). Login to your web host server. Wait for the FTP software to load a list of all of the files and folders for the web site. Right-click the folder entitled 'Joomla' and select 'Delete' from the pop-up menu. This will delete all of the program files for the software.
Login to your web host account and access the MySQL database page. The location of this setting varies according to your web host provider. If you are unsure of where to find the settings for your databases, contact the customer service department at the hosting company.

How to Fix an Internet Server (4 Steps)

Check for service outages. This is the major cause of concern when it comes to server problems. If service is interrupted, you will not be able to access the Internet. Call your Internet Service Provider and see if there are outages in your area or if your service has been canceled. If you can do anything to get service restored, do so.
Contact your server company to see if your contract has expired or if you no longer have service with the company. The server company or hosting company can limit your access to your server if you aren't fulfilling your side of the contract or haven't paid your bill. Do whatever is necessary, such as signing a new contract, paying your bill or changing hosting companies, until your service is restored.
Unplug your modem and router from your server connection if you've explored service and server issues and both are working properly. Leave them unplugged for at least 10 minutes and then plug them back in. See if you can connect to your server.
Contact your server's help desk if you still cannot connect. It could be that the company has some type of hardware or software issue causing you to not be able to get online.

How to Build a Website Like Craigslist (4 Steps)

Consider using an open-source blogging software such as WordPress. These software platforms allow for the incorporation of widgets designed by third-party developers. Some of these plugins will allow for the posting of user content such as classified advertising. While the approach may not be very versatile, it is probably the simplest way to accomplish the task of accepting and posting web-based classifieds.
Research the opportunities offered by popular content management systems. If you don't have experience programing with a server-side scripting language or if you are not familiar with relational database programs then you will probably want to use a pre-programmed content management system which can be customized to your needs. Two of the leading content management programs which you should consider using are Joomla and Drupal. Neither of these programs charge for their use; however, you should spend the time to become familiar with each product prior to investing the time and energy to customize their system.
Develop the user-facing framework for your users. You will need to have a working knowledge of XHTML and CSS. These two coding systems can be written in a basic text editor and will allow you to design the structure which will appear on your users' browser screens. If you need assistance with these two languages then you should take advantage of any number of XHTML and CSS online tutorials which will explain the features available.
Deploy the server-side back-end scripting language and database program. You will need to process dynamic data which will need to be updated depending on user input. To do this it will be necessary to use a server-side scripting language such as PHP, Java, Pearl, Python or Microsoft's ASP.NET language. These scripts will take the data entered by the user and place it in the database. They will also retrieve the data upon request and present in in the XHTML and CSS framework which was mentioned above. You will also need to set up a relational database to securely house the data.
