How to Organize an Employee Appreciation Luncheon

Organize the luncheon in the break or conference room so employees can come and go if they need to take calls or complete other work-related tasks. However, consider holding it during a slow period so the staff will be able to enjoy themselves without neglecting their projects and duties. You can also host it at the end of a half day so they can stay as long as they'd like.
Let the staff vote on the type of food you'll serve. Choose a few local restaurants and pass around the menu of the 'winning' eatery so employees can order their favorite dishes. You can also have lunch catered by a local Italian, Chinese or Indian food establishment if you need to organize it quickly.
Give a short speech to thank the staff. Discuss the specific project or financial report that led you to hold the luncheon and single out any employees and managers that contributed the most leadership, staff support or innovative ideas. Also present a brief update on the company's current status, the climate of the industry and news of upcoming projects and contracts.
Take the opportunity to present annual merit awards or give recognition to staff members with the highest sales or customer satisfaction ratings, for example.
Plan activities like company trivia or a 'Who Am I' guessing game in which you list the lesser-known duties of a staff member to see who can figure it out first. Award small gift cards to local eateries or office supply stores to the winners.

How to Upload a Dreamweaver Website Into Go Daddy Hosting

Find the Host Name, FTP User Name and FTP Password you created when you opened your Go Daddy hosting account. You would have written this information down when you opened your account.
Open Dreamweaver. Go to 'Site' and then 'Manage Sites.'
Pick your website from the list given in the Manage Sites dialog box or click 'New' if you haven't started your website yet.
Choose 'Add New Server' when the setup window opens. Enter a name for your connection, something like 'Go Daddy' or your domain name would be easy to identify, but any name is OK.
Click 'FTP' from the connection menu and enter the FTP User Name and FTP Password you created with Go Daddy. Check the 'Save' box if you want Dreamweaver to remember your login information.
Type your domain name in the FTP box. Click the 'Test' button to confirm the connection. Leave any other fields blank or default unless you've set up special port or proxy settings in your home network or with Go Daddy.
Check 'Automatically upload files to server on save' if you want Dreamweaver to update your website every time you save a page.
Save the connection by clicking 'Save' and go to 'Edit,' then 'Preferences' in Windows. If you're using a Mac, click 'Dreamweaver' and then 'Preferences.'
Select your website from the list on the left and choose your upload settings. Establish whether the FTP connection will time out or terminate after a specified number of minutes. You can also set Dreamweaver to 'Prompt Before Moving Files on Server' and 'Save Files Before Putting.' Experiment until you find the settings that work for you.

How to Start a Clothing Company Website (6 Steps)

Determine the mission of the clothing company website. A website is a tool to create awareness and drive sales. A clothing company website can exist as an ecommerce store to complement a freestanding retail location or as an online destination to market and sell the clothing to the online consumer.
Select your demographic and keywords. If your clothing company sells t-shirts to plus-size women, select the top search phrases that your customer types into search engines to buy clothing. Use the free Google Adwords Keyword tool to determine the best keywords and number of searches per month for your target demographic.
Reserve the domain name. Choose a domain name that is identical to the name of your clothing brand. Use a free online tool found on whois.net to check the availability of your domain name. Select a familiar domain extension of .com or .net. According to Christopher Heng, of SiteWizard.com, 'when you choose a domain name with a domain extension other than '.com', you should promote your website or business with the entire domain name.'
Select an appropriate hosting plan. Choose a hosting plan that includes multiple email accounts, unlimited bandwidth, remote FTP access, built-in shopping carts, pre-designed web templates and secure server options for credit card transactions. In 2009, hosting plans for ecommerce websites range from $72 to $400 per year.
Plan for web design, content and usability using a website checklist. A clothing company website requires product photos and descriptions of each item of clothing. Use a website checklist to plan for the number of pages, categories, website navigation and types of photos needed.
Build your website using a free website builder or a web designer. You can use tools like Kompozer to design your free website. Include fashionable web graphics and fonts to reinforce the stylish theme of your clothing designs. Select free and reasonably priced website templates at Template Monster and Templates Box. Upload your website using your domain username and password using a free FTP file manager like Filezilla.

How to Host a Wet T

Find the appropriate venue to host a wet T-shirt contest. If you are a bar or club owner, pick a night of the week that is normally slow, since a wet T-shirt contest is likely to bring in more business. If you don't own a place to host the contest, contact local bars and clubs that normally attract college students and ask if they would be interested in allowing you to run wet T-shirt contests in their establishments as a way to bring in more business.
Choose a date to hold the wet T-shirt contest. Assuming the contest is a success, it would be a good idea to have the contest on the same date each month or same night each week, depending on how often you'd like to have it. Holding the contest on a consistent basis and advertising it with posters and flyers will help create a crowd of regular attendees, ensuring a decent-sized audience each time you hold it.
Determine the best time for the contest to begin. It's a good idea to hold the wet T-shirt contest later in the evening, preferably around midnight, so that bar patrons have enough time to down a few drinks before it starts. The wet T-shirt contest should be only about one hour or less in length, so it shouldn't be a problem to schedule it around other events or entertainment being held the same night.
Establish the process for entering the contest. You should have a sign-up sheet prepared in advance and bring a clipboard and pens with you to the bar or club. Some wet T-shirt contests also require that contestants pay a small fee to compete, which usually includes the price of a T-shirt to be provided for each contestant.
Bring a CD of upbeat music to play during the wet T-shirt contest. Many clubs and bars will have DJs, so you may not need to provide music. Still, it's best to be prepared with your own soundtrack, just in case.
Decide how the winner will be chosen. Most of the time, the winner is considered to be the contestant who receives the most applause from the crowd, but you will need to have someone be the judge of who receives the most support based on audience response.

How to Set Up a LAN Network for 'Diablo II'

Launch 'Diablo II' on the computer that will be hosting the game. One player may also use this computer to play the game as well.
Click on “Other Multiplayer” from the initial selection screen.
Choose the TCP/IP connection option.
Select “Host Game” from the menu.
Write down the IP address which appears on the game startup screen. Other players will need this address in order to connect to your game. After setting the game options that you want to use, start the game.
Start 'Diablo II' on each of the other computers. One copy of the game may be installed on each of the computers using the same disks and CD key or each player may have his own. Multiple CD keys are only necessary if playing on Battle.net instead of through a LAN TCP/IP connection.
Click “Other Multiplayer” and “Join Game” to begin the connection process.
Enter the IP address of the host computer. All players can now join the first player’s multiplayer 'Diablo II' game.

How to Create a Video Hosting Website

Purchase a domain name for your website. A domain name is the address your customers will type in to access your site (yourvideohostingsite.com). Domain registrars typically charge between $1 to more than $14 per year.
Obtain web hosting for your site. A web host maintains various servers that manages the content and your subscribers who will come to your website. Choose a web host that provides a lot of memory for the lowest cost because your videos may require much memory. Web hosts can charge anywhere from $3 to more than $100 a month.
Determine if you would like to provide videos or if you want your subscribers to upload their own videos to your site, like YouTube. Answer this question before you start creating a website because the programming code required for others to upload videos will be different than if you want to upload videos yourself.
Sketch out the content, look and feel of your website using either a piece of paper and/or word processing software. You must know ahead of time what colors you would like to use and your welcome message, along with other information. Use a word processing software, such as Microsoft Word, that can be sent to your web designer.
Hire a freelance web designer to create your website. Hire your freelance web designer from sites like GetAFreelancer.com or Elance.com. Web designers from around the world will bid on your project based on your budget. Ensure your web designer has experience with programming codes necessary to upload videos.
Invite friends and family at different times of the day to access your site to view and upload videos to ensure there are no technical issues that need to be resolved before you go live.
